“El moviment perpetu” (Perpetual Motion) is a documentary on the transmission of gestures and movements from body to body and generation to generation. The film is based on some of the key moments in the history of dance in Catalonia from the beginning of the 20th century to the companies emerging in the mid-eighties. In this living history, dancers from the past are brought to life not only through archival images and interviews, but are also reincarnated in the bodies of present-day dancers and choreographers in a continuous journey between the present and the past through both gesture and word.
